Sanitary Violations
1) Cold food item held above 41º F (smoked fish and reduced oxygen packaged foods above 38 ºF) except during necessary preparation.
2) Filth flies or food/refuse/sewage-associated (FRSA) flies present in facility’s food and/or non-food areas. Filth flies include house flies, little house flies, blow flies, bottle flies and flesh flies. Food/refuse/sewage-associated flies include fruit flies, drain flies and Phorid flies.
3) Food contact surface not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any activity when contamination may have occurred.
4) Facility not vermin proof. Harborage or conditions conducive to attracting vermin to the premises and/or allowing vermin to exist.

There couldn’t be a better reason to write this particular story. This is the million dollar question just unveiled by the most controversial topic today which is gay marriage. If anything could negate all the opinions, closed mindedness, and ignorant comments made thus far by politicians and church goers and misinformed human beings, it is this story.
Steve Crecelius, a father of 6 (1 being a Marine), a grandfather of 10, and a husband to his wife Debbie for over 25yrs, went into Denver hospital for a kidney stone. The technician returned with the results of the ultrasound of which he said “you’re a female” or in medical terms an Intersex. Intersex by definition is the presence of intermediate or atypical combinations of physical features that usually distinguish female from male. An intersex individual may have biological characteristics of both the male and the female sexes. On the outside Steve looks and has male features but on the inside Steve has female organs. This news evidently validated everything steve felt for years.
He used to dress up in his mothers clothes as a child and always felt he was really a woman trapped inside of a mans body. This type of news could have been devastating to another family but the Crecelius family has embraced Steve with the same love he has given them. His wife decided what is more important is the love she had for this human being regardless of features. Some “friends” have turned their backs and ostracized them but Steve, who has changed his name to Stevie, has made a complete transition into a female for good. The first time he stepped outside in public with his wife was taxing, nerve wrecking, and exciting at the same time. Debbie even jokes about him meeting someone new. Steve said, “I’m definitely excited. It’s something I never thought would be possible, because I thought people would hate me or make fun of me.”
As the years go by, Stevie has gained more and more confidence to venture out and tell his story in hopes of helping other transgendered people.
Now the million dollar question that rises is, since Denver only allows legal unions for same-sex couples, and Stevie can not be defined as being a male or female, does this now mean she is not married and all of her rights within a heterosexual marriage are now depleted? Are her benefits, hospitalization rights and eligibility to transfer property now void? Has their marriage now been reduced to a union? Does she now have to fear for her life because of ignorant beings that are against this life? Who decides these things? Does the state now have the right to intervene and disembody the life he spent years building? I guess the million dollar question turned into many with just cause.
This is a prime example of how ridiculous the strong hold on same-sex marriage is. It is simply futile to place restrictions on people that simply want to live their lives in an equal world. Never will it be understood why people are so concerned with other peoples lives. Who I love has nothing to do with anyone else. Look how long it took to achieve equality on paper for Blacks in America. Is it going to take that long for the LGBT community to get respect and be recognized by society and the government?
What has to happen for change to occur?

Bostonian Donna Summer died today at age 63 from lung cancer. She is survived by her husband, singer and producer Bruce Sudano, their daughters, Brooklyn and Amanda and Summer’s daughter, Mimi, from a previous marriage.
Remember some of her hits such as “Bad Girls,” “Last Dance,” and “She Works Hard for the Money?” Ahh the days of just good, heartfelt, easy going music. Another piece of black inspiration will be missed.

The Beastie Boys etched their imprint into the stepping stones of hip hop in the 1980’s. Others have tried to imitate but could never duplicate the genuine sounds and styles of the infamous group. Sadly their oldest member, Adam Yauch, also known as MCA, struggled to fight an extremely rare cancer of the salivary gland for the last three years. He died, May 4, 2012 at the young age of 47. Adam founded the Milarepa Fund, and started the first Tibetan Freedom Concert which turned out to be the largest U.S. benefit concert since Live Aid. Beastie Boys also helped organize New Yorkers Against Violence, another benefit for 911 victims. The tragedy of Adam’s death is a great loss in the hip hop world. He will be missed. RIP
