To celebrate an art installation at Stockholm’s Moderna Museet along with World Art Day in April 2012, she decided to join in the festivities of cutting a cake depicting Sarah Bartman being carved into peices.
Perplexed? In the 1800’s, an African slave named Sarah Baartman was sold to multiple people, ridiculed and degraded due to her augmented features. Now, the fact that a clitoridectomy and beyond was performed on Sara Baartman, and these people mirrored this act by cutting slices in the vagina area of this celebratory cake art is cataclasm in it and of itself. Then add the blackface and body, the neck ring, and screams of pain with each cut, low and behold you have got clear, cut and dry, democratic math where 2+2=4 and this equals racism.
How pre-tell can one say it doesn’t exist anymore? Either you are ignorant, don’t care, or are simply blinded to your surroundings. Really observe your own world. Commercials, editorial ads, photos, speeches, the precious news, everything has a hint or a blatant racist remark or tone. Unless someone rubs a magical lamp and wishes for racism to cease forever, sadly it is here to stay. We who undergo the backlash of it all can only try not to inject violence as a means of retaliation. It really is a wonder there isn’t more crime today.

MOSCOW — A well-preserved woolly mammoth carcass with liquid blood has been found on a remote Arctic island, fueling hopes of cloning the ice age animal, Russian scientists said Thursday.
The carcass was in such good shape because its lower part was stuck in pure ice, said Semyon Grigoryev, the head of the Mammoth Museum, who led the expedition into the Lyakhovsky Islands off the Siberian coast.
